Description
The European Green Deal means a huge opportunity for Europe. Climate neutrality is a growth strategy that will create jobs, improve people's well-being and create business opportunities. It also involves a profound and rapid transformation of our society and our economy: from changes in the way we produce and use energy, we produce food, we consume products and services, we travel, or the way we work.
The energy sector will play a key role in achieving climate targets, so its participation in the European Climate Pact must also be addressed from an ambitious approach.
Throughout a two hour virtual event, participants from the European Commission, civil society, private companies, NGOs and academia will be answering the following questions:
- What is the European Climate Pact?
- What are the implications for energy companies?
- How will it be implemented?
- What will it mean to accelerate collaborative solutions? What existing experiences can serve to drive their effectiveness?
