Description
If you work in tourism and want to take meaningful climate action, this resource kit is for you.
It’s a continuously updated set of tools and guidance to help signatories of the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism to achieve their goals. Inside you’ll find resources for those working in all kinds of organisations, including national and local governments, businesses (accommodation providers, tour operators, suppliers) and supporting organisations (NGOs, business associations, education providers).
Contents include step-by-step guidance to help you plan and track climate measures, tools for measuring and reducing emissions, as well as templates for developing climate action plans. Plus, there are inspiring case studies from destinations and businesses showcasing how they’re putting climate strategies into practice.
More than 900 organisations have signed the Declaration, which aims to halve the sector’s emissions by 2030 and reach net zero as soon as possible before 2050. More content and sections will be added as their work progresses.
Whether you’re developing a climate plan or looking for practical guidance on how to cut emissions, this toolkit can help you turn climate goals into tangible results.
