Description
The Brazilian presidency of COP30 has called on the world to join forces for climate action.
‘Mutirão’ (meaning ‘collective efforts’) is a continuous method of mobilisation that begins before, extends through, and continues beyond COP30.
Whether you’re involved in policymaking, the private sector, academia, community groups, youth clubs, or indigenous peoples’ movements, the COP30 organisers invite you to start your own mutirão by using their toolkit.
The resource contains a step-by-step guide to creating an online or offline mutirão, as well as a downloadable logo to promote your activity.
You will also find a frequently updated list of mutirão around the world, making it easy to locate and join an established group.
Plus, the site lists eight suggested themes with concrete suggestions for climate action initiatives to help you get going.
You can access the toolkit below. For bonus inspiration, we’ve also linked to the story behind the mutirão concept, explaining why it's a perfect word to mobilise global climate collaboration.
