AWomanCanBe.org

The organisation connects gender equality with environmental and social sustainability by designing and delivering educational initiatives, awareness campaigns and community projects that encourage women and girls to lead, innovate and live in harmony with nature. 

Its mission is to empower women to reach their full potential and become agents of positive change for their communities and the planet. AWomanCanBe.org promotes women’s leadership in climate action, fosters environmental awareness, and supports female-driven initiatives that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Green Deal. 

Key activities include the ‘Women for Nature, Women for Climate’ programme, which promotes environmental education and outdoor learning, participation in EU Green Week and other sustainability events across Greece, and acting as the national implementer of EIT Food’s Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) programme, supporting women entrepreneurs to develop sustainable and climate-smart business ideas.  

The organisation also runs storytelling and community engagement projects that raise awareness of climate change and sustainability through women’s voices.
