Workshop on Climate Gender Equality - links between climate change and gender inequality

The European Climate Pact and the Italian Association of Women Engineers and Architects explore climate change, gender inequalities and energy poverty, concluding with an interactive game on the hidden impacts of food choices.

Conferences and summits

The Climate Pact and the Italian Association of Women Engineers and Architects are organising this event to discuss and reflect on the links between climate change and gender inequalities, featuring contributions from experts working in Italy and across Europe.

The event will focus in particular on the issue of energy poverty and women’s greater vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. In order to do so, the workshop will be organised into two different roundtables focused respectively on climate, gender and vulnerability, and on integrated solutions for inclusive and resilient housing.

The event will end with a interactive game organised by ambassador Alice Casiraghi. She designed an educational tool named ‘Climate Cards: Food Edition’ created to highlight the hidden environmental and societal costs of common ingredients.

This workshop will be connected to the foods and beverage that will be served for the aperitive.
