Workshop on Climate Gender Equality - links between climate change and gender inequality

The European Climate Pact and the Italian Association of Women Engineers and Architects explore climate change, gender inequalities and energy poverty, concluding with an interactive game on the hidden impacts of food choices.

Conferences and summits

The European Climate Pact and the Italian Association of Women Engineers and Architects (AIDIA) – Lecce Section are organising this event, proposed and coordinated by European Climate Pact Ambassador Serena Pagliula, to explore the links between climate change and gender inequalities, with contributions from experts working in Italy and across Europe.

The event will focus particularly on energy poverty and women's heightened vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. The workshop will feature two roundtables, focusing respectively on climate change, gender and social vulnerability, and on integrated solutions for inclusive and climate-resilient housing.

The event will conclude with an interactive game led by European Climate Pact Ambassador Alice Casiraghi.

She developed Climate Cards: Food Edition, an educational tool designed to highlight the hidden environmental and social impacts of everyday food ingredients.

The activity will be linked to the food and drinks served during the closing networking aperitif.
