"From victims to victories" EU Day for the Victims of the Global Climate Crisis

Join us in Rotterdam on July 8th to mark the EU Day for the Victims of the Global Climate Crisis. Share your story, explore local climate impacts, and be part of a collective call for climate resilience and action.

  • Info days

This hybrid activity combines a public engagement event in Rotterdam on July 8th with an online awareness campaign marking the EU Day for the Victims of the Global Climate Crisis.

The live event will take place in a busy public space (Markthal, Rotterdam) and will engage citizens through an interactive board, themed photo installations, and facilitated conversations.

Participants will be invited to share personal experiences of climate change, identify local risks and solutions, and contribute ideas using visual and participatory tools.

Portraits and stories collected during the event will be featured in a dedicated online campaign running from 15 to 22 July, with daily posts amplifying citizen voices and showcasing local climate adaptation solutions.

The activity aims to make climate impacts tangible, foster dialogue, and inspire individual and collective action towards climate resilience.
