As MUNAA, our commitment to 'Youth Voices for Climate Action' aligns seamlessly with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13: Climate Action. By empowering the youth to actively engage in climate discussions and initiatives, we contribute directly to SDG 13's mission to combat climate change and its impacts. Additionally, our event supports various interconnected SDGs, such as Quality Education (SDG 4) by fostering knowledge exchange and Life on Land (SDG 15) through sustainable practices. MUNAA stands as a steadfast ally to the SDGs, striving to catalyse positive change, inspire collective action, and drive progress towards a more sustainable and equitable world. Objective:

Engage and empower the youth community in discussions about climate action, providing them a platform to share ideas, solutions, and perspectives within the framework of the European Climate Pact. 

Format:

A virtual panel discussion and interactive workshop that focuses on the role of young individuals in addressing climate change. The event aims to bring together students, educators, and activists interested in sustainable development and climate action.

Agenda:

1. Opening Session:

Welcome and Introduction to MUNAA's involvement in climate related initiatives.

Overview of the European Climate Pact and its objectives. 

2. Panel Discussion: "Youth Perspectives on Climate Change" 

Keynote speakers: Students actively engaged in climate initiatives, environmental educators, and representatives from youth-led organizations. Also, academics and members of related NGOs.

Discussion on the impact of climate change on young people and their innovative solutions. 

3. Interactive Workshop: "Turning Ideas into Action"

Breakout sessions to brainstorm and develop actionable plans for local climate initiatives.

Facilitated discussions on how the youth can actively contribute to the European Climate Pact. 

4. Closing Session:

Summary of key insights and proposals generated during the workshop.

Encouragement for participants to continue their climate action efforts. 

A symbolic award ceremony to encourage the participant students that have put effort during workshops.

Information on how participants can stay involved with climate related initiatives.
