About the event:
The Pre-COP Virtual Conference, groundbreaking initiative spearheaded by the youth, for the youth, on November 5th and 6th. This pioneering event is a collaborative effort between the esteemed ECOR Foundation, the Biodiversity and Climate Change Research Institute, and the ENCORE-Youth Network. The conference aims to provide a global platform for young delegates from around the world to address pressing local issues, fostering a collective voice for the next generation of leaders.
On Day 1, the conference will delve into the critical themes of biodiversity and climate change, exploring the intricate relationships between these two pressing global concerns. Delegates will engage in thought-provoking discussions, sharing their unique perspectives and experiences on the impact of climate change on biodiversity, and vice versa.
On Day 2, the focus will shift to the intersection of climate change and human rights, examining the far-reaching consequences of environmental degradation on human well-being and dignity. This session will provide a platform for delegates to discuss the disproportionate effects of climate change on vulnerable populations and explore innovative solutions to mitigate these impacts.
With an expected 2-3 delegates per country, this virtual conference promises to be a dynamic and inclusive forum, where young voices from diverse backgrounds will converge to share their insights, concerns, and ideas.
