This conference will convene policymakers, legal experts, environmental activists, climate technology innovators, economists, and representatives from international organizations (WTO, WIPO, UNFCCC) to critically examine how IPRs can both incentivize and impede climate action. Building on the precedent of the
Doha Declaration on TRIPS and Public Health, we will explore existing and potential flexibilities within the international IP framework to accelerate the development and diffusion of climate-friendly technologies, particularly to developing countries.
