Roots & Routes : Walk or Run for Biodiversity

A running/walking event that engages audiences with biodiversity in a forested area. ​Join us for an afternoon of Roots & Routes. EU Climate Pact Ambassadors invite you to discover the biodiversity of our forests through expert workshops and games, linked to citizen science and climate action.​

As part of the activity, you are invited to walk or run the 10km or 5km circuit and discover your local biodiversity while getting fit. Once you have completed the circuit, meet with botanical, water and nature guides to learn about the forest and how to protect it. 

Enjoy a sustainable snack and networking with like-minded climate and fitness enthusiasts.​

11h00: 1st wave departure (Walk, Run)​ Guided Nature challenge for the walkers, Biodiversity Bingo for kids ​5km & 10km run departure: 3-2-1 Go!​

12h00: 2nd wave departure (Walk, Run)​5 & 10 km run: 3-2-1 Go!​

13h00 to 15h00 : Guided Nature experiences ​Botanical Experience: Presented by Irina Simoncini: Learn about the plants that surround us. 

Find out how to identify wild edibles and make an herbal tea.​ 

Water Experience: Presented by Silvia Venditti: Learn about natural water filtration of the forest​. 

Forest Experience: Presented by Sophie Zuang.
