We are joined by three experts in climate policy and disinformation – offering a comprehensive look at how climate narratives are shaped, challenged and defended.
Our guest speakers will include (pictured from left to right):
Louna Wemaere, Head of EU Affairs for the non-governmental organisation QuotaClimat. Passionate about politics and environmental science, Louna has previously worked at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and at the French Ministry for Ecological Transition on environmental public policies.
Jennie King, Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD) and the Center for Climate and Security. Jennie co-founded Climate Action Against Disinformation (CAAD) and has led major investigations into climate denial and delay narratives across multiple regions including Australia, Canada, Central Europe, Germany, South Africa, the US and UK.
Philip Newell, Communications Co‑Chair at Climate Action Against Disinformation (CAAD). Since 2011, Philip has been monitoring, debunking and dismantling the networks that spread climate falsehoods. With a background in global environmental policy and over 10 years in climate communications, Philip has authored more than two million words on climate disinformation.
