Little Guardians of the Earth: Planting Seeds for the Future

An interactive climate action event for kindergarten children combining storytelling, environmental games and planting activities to inspire the next generation of “Little Guardians of the Earth” through creativity, play and hands-on learning.

  • Training and workshops

This interactive environmental activity for kindergarten children (aged 4 to 6) is organised by European Climate Pact Ambassador Chara Karakosta in collaboration with We4all, Partner of the European Climate Pact.

It will take place at the 4th Kindergarten in Melissia, Attica with the participation of about 35 children and 10 adults. The event combines storytelling, environmental education, play-based learning and hands-on activities to help children understand basic concepts related to climate action and environmental protection in a simple and engaging way.

Through interactive discussions, photos, videos and environmental games, children learn about recycling, saving water and energy, protecting nature, and the importance of trees and plants for our planet. A key part of the activity is the planting of aromatic plants in the schoolyard, encouraging children to actively care for nature and develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment from an early age.

The main objective of the event is to empower children to become “Little Guardians of the Earth” by showing them that even small everyday actions can contribute to a healthier and more sustainable future.

The activity also promotes community engagement, collective climate action and environmental awareness through experiential learning and creativity.
