Greentopia is a two-day public festival dedicated to climate action, sustainable living and responsible consumption, organised by ClimatoSfera in the heart of Bucharest. Taking place on 12–13 September 2026 at Green Hours – Casa GDS, on Calea Victoriei, the event invites citizens to explore how the choices we make every day – what we eat, buy, use, how we move and travel, and how we interact with our city – can contribute to a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.
Under the message “Be part of the change”, Greentopia combines interactive workshops, practical demonstrations, public discussions, activities for children and a Green Market showcasing local and sustainable producers. The programme addresses topics including climate change, biodiversity, responsible consumption, food, health, sustainable mobility, tourism, technology, circular economy, urban spaces, waste reduction and composting.
A key focus of the 2026 edition is helping citizens move from intention to action by improving access to reliable information and practical alternatives. Through the theme “Scan. Understand. Choose.”, the festival will also introduce the public to product transparency, traceability and the concept of the Digital Product Passport, encouraging participants to look beyond price and labels and better understand the environmental and social impacts of everyday products.
The festival is organised around three main areas: Green Life, with workshops and participatory experiences; Green Market, bringing together selected local and responsible producers; and Green Kids, where children discover biodiversity, composting, climate change and sustainable lifestyles through playful and educational activities.
As a European Climate Pact Satellite Event, Greentopia will also create a space for exchange between citizens, organisations and European Climate Pact Ambassadors in Romania, who will be invited to meet, contribute to activities and engage directly with the public. The objective is to make climate action accessible and relevant to everyday life, strengthen the local community around sustainability, and empower people to make more informed and climate-conscious choices.
Participation is free and the festival is open to the general public.
