Join us on 9 May for a free public Europe Day event at the Energy Discovery Centre (Energia Avastuskeskus), combining learning, discussion and hands-on creativity.
The event begins with a guided visit to the environmental exhibition 'Let’s Hit Zero!', exploring topics such as waste, reuse, responsible consumption and the circular economy. Through an interactive and informal format, participants are encouraged to ask questions, reflect and take part in discussion. The tour will also highlight how these everyday themes connect to European initiatives, including the European Green Deal and the EU Circular Economy Action Plan.
Participants will then take part in a fun Europe Day quiz, offering a light and engaging way to learn more about Europe and sustainability.
After the tour, the programme continues with the creative workshop 'Shards Bring Happiness', where participants will make unique jewellery from broken ceramic pieces. The workshop introduces reuse in a practical way and encourages reflection on how small choices can help reduce waste and support more responsible use of resources.
The event aims to raise awareness of the circular economy, make EU sustainability topics more accessible, and inspire participants to see how individual actions connect with broader European goals – all while celebrating Europe Day through creativity and shared discussion.
