EU Day for the Victims of the Global Climate Crisis - Climate change and the city

Join us for a roundtable discussion on understanding climate change, the role of civil society and local community initiatives, followed by an open-air screening of "Welcome to Sodom"- thought-provoking documentary on e-waste and its global impact.

  • Info days

As part of the commemoration of Climate Victims Day, this event will provide a space for reflection on the human, social, and environmental consequences of climate change, while encouraging dialogue on how communities can strengthen their resilience in the face of growing climate risks.A roundtable discussion bringing together experts and local stakeholders will explore the impacts of climate change, the importance of active citizen engagement, and strategies for strengthening preparedness and resilience at the local level. The discussion will address a key question: What role can each of us play in building a more resilient community and a more sustainable future?

The event will continue with an open-air screening of the climate-related documentary Welcome to Sodom. The film offers a compelling perspective on the environmental and social consequences of technological development and electronic waste, while highlighting broader global challenges linked to climate change. Through powerful storytelling, it encourages reflection on the connections between consumption, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
