Are the days of greenwashing truly numbered? Will the new European regulations succeed in ensuring environmental communication that is more transparent, verifiable and respectful of consumer rights? This event represents one of the first opportunities for public discussion dedicated to the impact of Directive (EU) 2024/825 and Legislative Decree 30/2026, which transposed it into Italian law.
This regulatory change is set to have a profound impact on the ways in which businesses, professionals, public bodies and market operators can communicate the environmental and sustainability characteristics of products to consumers.
Building on the findings of the ‘Greenwashing in Italy 2023–2026 Report’, produced by the social enterprise G&S on behalf of ACU, the conference will facilitate a multidisciplinary discussion among legal experts, institutional representatives, sustainability experts, consumer associations and industry professionals, with the aim of analysing the opportunities, challenges and practical implications of the new regulations.
