Women in Net-Zero Technologies is a high-level EU Climate Action Days event bringing together policymakers, vocational education leaders, industry representatives, Climate Pact Ambassadors, and young women to accelerate a fair and inclusive green transition.
Hosted under the ELeVATE project, the event focuses on removing the barriers that prevent girls and women from entering and progressing in net-zero technology careers, with a special emphasis on the Smart Electricity for Buildings (SEB) sector - covering low-voltage renewable electricity applications, smart energy systems, and sustainable building solutions.
Through keynote speeches, expert dialogue, and practical insights from the public, academic, and private sectors, the event will highlight scalable solutions aligned with Erasmus+ Policy Experimentation, including:
- tailored VET pathways and training programmes for green tech careers
- mentorship and role-model engagement
- awareness and advocacy actions to shift perceptions and increase participation
- and network building that connects women with opportunities, employers, and European initiatives
The event aims to strengthen cooperation between institutions and stakeholders and to inspire the next generation of women leaders in net-zero technologies - turning climate ambition into real skills, real careers, and measurable impact.
