As part of the European Climate Pact Climate Action Days, this interactive cooking workshop promotes sustainable food practices by linking zero-waste habits with culinary heritage. The event also celebrates the International Day of Zero Waste (30 March) and highlights the importance of reducing food waste for climate action.
Led by Cypriot Climate Pact Ambassador Penelope, the workshop invites families and children to explore how everyday cooking and shopping choices can reduce waste and support environmental goals. With contributions from Zero Waste Alliance Cyprus and Agno Zero Waste Grocery, participants will learn about food waste in Cyprus and discover simple zero-waste tips they can apply at home.
The event includes a short introduction, a demonstration of low-waste shopping, and a hands-on pasta-making session, followed by a shared meal where participants exchange ideas and practical tips for reducing food waste in daily life.
