Climate Walk in Rakvere - Nature Walk in Rakvere Theatre Park Rakvere Teatri park (theatre park) known for its spring birdsong. Rakvere Teatripark, also known as Mõisapark or Rahvaaed, is one of the oldest and most beautiful green spaces in the city.
The park is located right next to Rakvere Theatre, on the grounds of a historic manor complex, offering visitors a fascinating combination of nature, history and culture. It is a place of natural beauty, where birdsong provides a pleasant backdrop before a film or thea tre performance. The park is a valued green space where you can enjoy birdwatching and the sounds of nature right in the heart of the city. Rakvere Teatripark is the largest and most beloved park, with a total area of approximately 9 ha. It is one of the oldest places in the city of Rakvere, where people lived already at the beginning of our era.
In the first half of the 16th century, there was a Franciscan monastery here. The landscape probably began to take on the appearance of the park under the leadership of local landlords in the 18th century. The original Baroque-style manor house was built here in 1670. The manor park surrounding the building was named the People's Park after the establishment of the Republic of Estonia.
