“Itinerari epistemologici lagunari” is a writing workshop composed primarily of undergraduate and graduate students interested in exploring the relationship between human practices, large infrastructures, and aquatic environments.
The project weaves together the experiences and impressions gathered during group field trips carried out across the lagoon territory—understood broadly as the hydrographic basin of the Venice Lagoon—with themes from historical epistemology and with the relationships between science, technology, environment, and society.
Among the places explored so far by the variously composed group are the Vajont Dam, the fish market and the casoni of Caorle, Pellestrina and the Ca’ Roman oasis, the Island of Sant’Andrea and its fort, the Millecampi casone, Crocetta del Montello and the Grave di Ciano. The final outcome of the project will be the publication of a small peer-reviewed volume collecting the contributions of the participants in the field trips and the workshop.
