Climate Action Days: Climate Fresk: Empowering Educators for Climate Literacy in Greece

This high-impact, two-phase certified training is designed to strengthen the climate literacy among primary school teachers through the internationally recognized "Climate Fresk" tool. The workshop translates complex scientific data from the UN’s IPCC reports into an accessible, collaborative learning experience.

• Phase A – The Workshop (March 30): In a in person 3-hour session, participants work in small groups to connect 39 cards, mapping the cause-and-effect relationships of climate change. This process fosters collective intelligence, systemic thinking, and creative dialogue.
• Phase B – Teacher Certification (April 21): A follow-up pedagogical training where teachers receive digital resources and specialized guidance. Upon completion, they are certified to facilitate the Climate Fresk tool within their own school communities, - multiplying impact and empowering the next generation of climate-aware citizens. 

The initiative is organized by the Directorate of Primary Education of A' Athens (Environmental Education Dept.) in collaboration with ClimeduAct and the Climate Fresk Greece community - most of them are also members of the European Climate Pact network.
