Generation Trust: A Global Climate Story in the Making is a documentary screening and discussion event focused on youth-led climate action and the role of trust in enabling young people to lead.
The event will centre around the screening of Generation Trust, a documentary that follows five young climate leaders from Uganda, Liberia, Pakistan, Colombia and Bolivia as they work to bring concrete climate solutions to life in their communities.
Through their stories, the film offers a grounded and human perspective on the climate crisis, showing how young people are already responding with practical, locally rooted solutions across different regions of the world. Following the screening, the event will create space for reflection and dialogue on the themes raised in the film. These include the importance of investing in youth-led climate solutions, the value of intergenerational trust, the barriers young people face in accessing funding and opportunities, and the need to move beyond consultation towards meaningful support for youth leadership.
The objective of the event is to raise awareness of the real and tangible contributions young people are making to climate action, inspire broader public engagement, and encourage stronger support for youth-led innovation and community-based solutions. It also aims to contribute to wider conversations on climate justice, inclusion and the role of partnerships in scaling impactful local action.
