Appia Days: connecting people and places

Join us on a Climate Walk & Talk and Workshop on microplastics.

Training and workshops

The Climate Pact activity within Appia Day will take place in Rome on 3-4 October 2026 and will combine information, science, participation and practical climate action.

It will include:

  1. a Climate Pact information point near the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella;
  2. a Climate Walk on 4 October, led by professors and researchers from Sapienza University of Rome, from the Villa of Maxentius to the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella;
  3. an outdoor Open Lecture on climate change, biodiversity and the relationship between environment, landscape and human activities; and
  4. hands-on workshops by piùblu ETS for children, families and young people on plastics and microplastics, including microscope observation, quizzes and educational activities.

The Climate Pact will also be presented during the institutional programme and through the event's communication channels. The initiative strengthens the Climate Pact’s presence in Italy through a high-profile event that combines sustainable mobility, the promotion of UNESCO heritage and civic engagement.

Appia Day serves as a concrete model of local engagement that links European policies with local communities, promoting behavioural change.
