Motivation is love for the environment and quality of life. I am a Municipal Councilor on a small island of Hydra (no cars) and study at the University of Athens Environmental Pollution – Smart Urban Management (elearning). I am the President of the Hellenic Small Islands Network and our members implement programs with emphasis on energy autonomy and pollution reduction. We regularly organize an open hearing at the EESC (EU) with similar topics and awareness-raising events in the world.

As a human being, a mother and a global citizen, I have an existential and fundamental responsibility to do good and lead by example. As a biologist and in my role as an educator at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, I have the privilege to interact with the future's stake holders, educators, policy-makers and influencers. Witnessing the unprecedented devastation from mega fires and floods in Greece and the rest of Europe, it has become imperative to act with urgency.

As Pact Ambassador, I commit to sharing knowledge through science, working towards a better understanding of the mechanisms of life; macro and micro worlds. My aim will be to raise awareness of environmental issues among multi-disiplinary groups and different educational tiers; primary education to post-graduate level. I intend to introduce innovative teaching tools for better student engagement and development of skills to enhance learning and an understanding of climate change.

My name is Anastasios Kotsiras and I am a creative content designer and animator, living in Athens Greece.

I am also a young parent, and that was the main reason for me to use my knowledge and specialties in creating the eco-educational project "Save your Planet".

In the process of creating the project, I got involved in the environmental issues, the problems of our planet, and how to save our planet.

I use my skills to create a project aesthetically friendly for kids and their parents.

As EAERE president-elect, EIT Climate KIC HUB director, UN SDSN Europe co-chair, I will act as an ambassador for the Climate Pact and advocate for active participation of "all parts of society" - researchers, innovators and technology developers, enterprises, workers, consumers and citizens and their organizations- for mobilizing the transition to climate neutrality and the implementation of the EGD and the UN SDGs.

Dr Aristea Kyriakou is an enthusiastic outdoor teacher, researcher and academic, who has gained with distinctions her PhD (Onassis Foundation Scholar), an MRes, an MSc and a Bachelors, all in Education Sciences, from European Universities (Greece, Sweden, Scotland, Switzerland).

With her "Greek.and.Green" project, she passionately provides insightful, engaging and inspiring ways towards actions that everyone can do to help the environment - and all of that, while teaching the Greek language!

As a young European Climate Pact Ambassador, who lives in Kozani, Western Macedonia, I commit to promoting the European Climate Pact in my hometown and in my region, through interactive activities and projects regarding Just Transition in Western Macedonia. Though our collective actions, I hope to see Kozani's future as green, sustainable, innovative and full of opportunities of young people! Let us all be active citizens, especially when it comes to the protection of our common planet!

We shall pursue the proliferation of Nature Based Solutions to mitigate the adverse effects of Climate Change. This goal can be achieved by exploiting and advancing methodologies and tools developed within the Operandum project, our extensive engineering portfolio in designing and implementing such solutions and a comprehensive and inclusive approach towards a co-development process, engaging local communities and other stakeholders.

I have a bachelor degree in Physics science from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master degree in Bioeconomy, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development at University of Piraeus. I work in Kalamata city, in a family-owned business called “KLIMIS”  which has been implementing circular bioeconomy for more than 30 years. I am also a member of the strategic planning team and coordinator of the circular economy and waste management axis of the Municipality of Kalamata for the “Mission”, as Kalamata is one of the selected cities for the EU “Mission: 100 Climate Neutral and Smart European cities by 2030”. I will try to raise awareness and educate citizens, especially the children who will be the citizens of the future, in sustainable ways of living. Sustainability for me is a one way road!

As a physicist with a master's degree in Environmental Management Strategies and from the very first years of my service as Mayor of Fyli, I have fully supported and encouraged the advocacy of the Sustainable Development in the Municipality as well as the achievement of Climate Neutrality. My actions will include: cooperation with local communities - implementation of energy saving projects, circular economy and generally drastic reduction of the carbon footprint of the municipality.

I am an unwavering advocate for environmental sustainability, steadfast in my conviction that collective action is the fulcrum for overcoming our global challenges. As a dedicated Pact Ambassador, I am fueled by an unyielding commitment to cultivate awareness and drive substantive transformation within my sphere of influence. My approach hinges on orchestrating immersive and hands-on DIY workshops that not only equip individuals with practical sustainability tools but also kindle a profound appreciation for diversity and inclusivity. In my role, I aspire to not merely interact with diverse groups but to co-create an environment that beckons all, where backgrounds and perspectives converge to ignite innovation in sustainable practices. By harnessing the power of cutting-edge webinars, forging collaborative ventures that transcend boundaries, and deeply valuing the kaleidoscope of perspectives that diversity brings, I aim to empower individuals to catalyse enduring change.

My work will focus on advocating the vulnerable people, groups and communities about climate change in the context of Human Rights. Encourage, support and inspire active participation, collaboration and synergies for joint initiatives and actions. Promoting social dialogue and engaging civil society. Disseminate knowledge, information and good practices so that any efforts on fighting climate change can be perceived as commonplace and become an everyday-life attitude.

As a dedicated Climate Pact Ambassador, I am committed to catalysing positive change by leveraging my passion for environmental sustainability. Through a blend of strategic initiatives, I aim to foster widespread climate awareness and engagement. My activities will span various mediums, including active participation in climate-related events, crafting compelling articles on sustainability for diverse audiences, and utilising the power of social media to disseminate actionable insights. Through these endeavours, I aspire to bridge knowledge gaps, inspire meaningful action, and contribute to the collective efforts of the European Climate Pact. Join me on this journey toward a more sustainable future, where every action, no matter how small, makes a significant impact.

In the last three years, my climate engagement has been multifaceted and impactful. Serving as one of the SGD Coordinators of the UN SDSN Youth, I collaborated with local organisations, organising academic events and journeys focused on sustainable practices and green innovation. Additionally, as a Facilitator of EIT Climate KIC Greece and PhDc in Green Innovation and Cybernetics, I fostered innovation and entrepreneurship in climate-related fields. Being a Member of the Anna Lindh Foundation, I contributed to promoting intercultural dialogue on environmental issues. I also led local initiatives such as campus gardening and tree planting in local forests, promoting biodiversity and acting as carbon sinks. Last but not least, I actively participated in various Youth Forums and Conferences based on Climate Change and Sustainability Impact and Energy Transition framework.

My main goal is to help people understand that we must protect the environment. But that there are proven ways of doing this that allow us to maintain or even improve our way of living. I try to engage the young engineers I educate  on the environmental elements of their work, helping them to understand that we are only borrowing our planet from our children and future generations, and thus we must leave them a better environment to that which we found.

I plan to organise activities which contain spechees about climate change to those who are not yet involved in climate action. As a deputy mayor of envrinoment I want to engage with other local communities on environment-friendly practices, events and thematic discussions. I also plan to exchange knowledge and try to find climate solutions via my duties as a young elected politician in Brussels.

My aim to raise awareness and engage with climate education, by emphasising the role of the youth in fighting climate change, which I wish to continue doing as a Climate Ambassador. Given the existential threat that the climate crisis poses, I believe that it is imperative to learn and re-learn the ways that we interact with climate emissions as individuals and as groups, which I believe can be effectively carried out through research and community awareness.

My mission is to support people and organisations in their sustainability evolutions through interactive learning experiences. In 2021 I founded “Resilient Planet”, a green skills training centre in Greece. We promote tailor-made programmes on sustainability literacy and climate engagement strategies to stimulate commitment and bring about change across large organisations that need to engage their stakeholders. The most effective ways of creating impact by 'thinking global and acting local' is achieved through intentionality and working together — collaboration and community play key roles.  To achieve my climate action commitments and maximise impact beyond the corporate world, I launched two Communities of Practice: 1. “Climate Fresk Greece”, a community of Climate Facilitators in Greece and Cyprus. 2. “Doughnut Economics Greece Network”, a community thats explores the “Doughnut Economics” framework and acts as a bridge between decision-makers, changemakers and citizens wanting to create change.

As a teacher and resident in the area near Athens International Airport, I am interested in collaborating with European citizens and organisations facing similar issues.

I hope with all my heart that this movement will improve our lives and establish the foundation for a better future for Europe... for the planet - our HOME!

I am the Chairperson of Elan Inc, a management consulting firm actively involved with sustainable development goals, currently supporting hundreds of educational institutions and corporate around the world on matters pertaining to sustainability. I have a sustainability professional, and am an author and researcher with extensive background in sustainability in businesses and institutions.
