I have many years of experience in implementing the green goals of the European Union. I have a qualification that allows me to audit environmental management systems and implement corrective actions in the day-to-day operations of an organization. I am also the founder of the NGO Za udržateľné Podunajsko, which conducts surveys on sustainable development and develops attitudes. Due to my diversified activities, I am currently a member of the presidium platform Összefogás of the Alliance Party.

My motivation consists of helping to form critical, active, supportive, committed and co-responsible citizenship with their environment and with people, through social networks. My aim is that the information does not remain only on the screen, but that what is learned and shared digitally manifests in tangible results.

In 2020 I translated the En-ROADS climate simulator in Bulgarian and became the only Climate Ambassador of the tool in Bulgaria. En-ROADS is a global climate simulator that allows users to explore the impact of roughly 30 policies-such as electrifying transport, pricing carbon, and improving agricultural practices-on hundreds of factors like energy prices, temperature, air quality, and sea level rise.

So far, we have shown it to over 400 students in high schools in the city of Varna, Bulgaria and we are looking to expand it to universities, companies and institutions. I will be happy to partner with you and invite you (and your team) to a climate workshop. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I am set to:
1) galvanise highly diverse communities of knowledge and ability with varying degrees of experience towards a greener Europe;
2) empower citizens with tools and toolkits in line with the New European Bauhaus approach;
3) provide them with methods which stimulate common understanding;
4) empower citizens to enable a just transition to food production and waste revalorization with fair access to nutrition options, and
5) create open business models and collaborative systems.

There is no doubt that Climate Change is THE GREAT CHALLENGE for our generation and future ones to overcome. Facing the societal transformation that is needed in order to minimise its effects is an urge that must be tackled in our daily lives. As a scientist I deeply value the transformation power that sharing our knowledge among the society has to raise awareness. As ambassador I am aiming to raise awareness by sharing my knowledge while actively push for a change. 

Currently, I work at Social Climate (http://socialclimate.es/) where we catalyze social innovation for climate action and justice, locally and internationally; through economic localization, Nature-based Solutions, environmental education, and responsible tourism.

Through my work, and also in my day-to-day life I intend to bring awareness about the climate emergency we are facing and to be a bridge between science and local citizenship.

I believe in people as a fundamental pillar for creating cities with healthy and sustainable DNA, because only people are capable of changing paradigms and betting on technologies with more human sides. I am in love with sport, wellness and health, and for that reason I am the CEO/Founder of a startup based on a health and wellness mobile app, aiming to reduce involuntary sedentary lifestyles and promote the economic revival of cities, hand in hand with local businesses and sustainable mobility.

I am a Climate Community Organiser leading a local climate non-profit organisation to speed up the transition to a sustainable society. Social movements, as well as collaboration between the municipality, civil society and local business is key to anchor and create acceptability for green transition. I am also a Climate Change Coach and an L&D professional, helping individuals, groups and sustainability leaders to engage with climate action and developing the transformational skills we all need to be successful in our work. I believe that behavioural science is crucial to our success, and I build on climate- and environmental psychology in my work. Last but not least, I am a mom of Ellie and Valter, and it is for them an all other children in the world that I dedicate my work. 

I am committed to bringing together all stakeholders and empowering local authorities to implement the more effective measures to achieve just transition. I am working to educate young people about the Green Deal and how they can contribute towards a cleaner future in Europe. I am also committed to informing policymakers about best courses of action through multidisciplinary research on the energy transition and climate friendly policies.

I am deeply committed to combating climate change and promoting sustainability through education and advocacy. As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I aim to leverage my legal expertise, environmental audit skills, and academic background in environmental law to drive positive change. My activities will include creating educational content and videos, organising workshops, and collaborating with schools and communities to raise awareness on climate issues. By engaging with diverse audiences and fostering dialogue, I aspire to inspire meaningful action and contribute to a more sustainable future for our planet.

I work at Taurage district municipality administration (Lithuania) as an advisor for climate neutral cities.  My thinking is that we all create a city together and therefore we all take collective responsibility for shifting the system towards climate neutrality, for us  today and for future generations. It is an opportunity to co-create the future of the city together. Therefore, my planned activities include creation of a climate neutral city strategy with a focus on stakeholder and citizen engagement as well as creating networks of green city ambassadors, also involving educational institutions as one of the primary role models. 

I am a university student from Armenia who has always been interested in protecting our planet. I am a strong-willed advocate for the environment, the planet and people. As a European Climate Pact Ambassador my challenge is to make people understand that together, we can make a difference and protect our future. Raising awareness of climate change, impacts and solutions through school workshops, conferences and gatherings with sustainability-focused companies, will be one of my top priorities.

The urgency for climate friendly behavior is needed today. 

I work for protection of the soil and responsible organic wastes management on site since many years, because of my deep connection and respect towards the soil and nature. 

The compassion of the people towards the climate change is what we need today. The real transformation for action starts from within. 

As an Ambassador, I am on a mission to get everyone involved in taking action against climate change. My plans involve teaming up with local stakeholders to make our communities more eco-friendly, expanding our educational activities at the community garden, and pushing ahead with my project, REPLASTICO2, where I turn plastic waste into cool stuff. I will keep visiting schools and events to share my experiences and insights, and I will be running fun workshops to show people how to reuse plastic in creative ways.

My main goal is to inspire, educate, and ignite a passion for a more environmentally friendly future.

Dr. Maria Chiara Pettenati is the Research Director at Indire (National Institute for Documentation, Innovation, and Educational Research), a public research body supervised by the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit where she coordinates several national teacher training projects and national induction and continuous professional development plans.

Maria Chiara Pettenati is a dedicated professional with a rich background in the domain of teachers training and sustainable development. Since 2017, she has played an active role in the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS), beginning as a delegate from their institute and rising to the role of co-coordinator for thematic working groups on Quality Education in 2022.

As an Italian national expert, Maria Chiara has made significant contributions to the "Italy and the Sustainable Development Goals: ASviS 2023" annual report, focusing on Goal 4 and Target 4.7, which addresses the quality of education. Their expertise is further exemplified through their involvement in the Eurydice report "Education for Sustainability in Europe: Building Competences and Supporting Teachers and Schools," set to be published in March 2024.

As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I aim to use my position as a leader in the football and sports industry to create awareness on the importance of implementing sustainable initiatives and supporting climate actions. In my role as Executive Director at We Play Green, I will actively work with professional football players to influence the football family to take action and create meaningful change. I also pledge to continue my work with my startup Twenty7 to support and guide European football clubs, regulators, national leagues, and associations in their journey to become compliant with existing and upcoming EU Directives and regulations.

I am a very active person in developmental activities, a leader and trainer, and a strong advocate for Climate actions and youth inclusion. I believe that empowering the youth to advance in their climate leadership and pro-environmental decision-making and developing youth green skills for green jobs is a powerful tool to achieve great results in a world where the climate is changing rapidly. At least 97% of published climate experts agree that global warming is real and caused by humans.

I am a proud promoter of initiatives to increase the awareness about environmental issues and risk of climate change. As a researcher, my activities include the study of “greenwashing”, i.e. false corporate communications aimed at conveying a sustainable self-image, and “sustainable tourism”, aimed at containing the environmental impact of the tourism. Results of researches allow to define guidelines for institutional actors, as well as are disseminated to raise awarenessin the community.

I am a sustainble finance researcher at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. Through my career and education, I have developed a strong scientific understanding of climate change as well as the interdisciplinary skills required to collaborate across disciplines to face challenges related to climate change and sustainability.

As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I commit to sharing my knowledge in a bid to address less discussed aspects of the challenges we face and highlight the role of stakeholder groups in driving solutions. I aim to do this by organising at least one workshop to raise climate change awareness at a local educational establishment, engage with at least one football institution to mobilise the institution and/or its fanbase in climate action and produce at least one climate change related thought piece.
