Since 2019 I conduct investigations into the negative consequence of climate anxiety in young adults. These consequences have an impact on the mental health of individuals that perceived themselves and their community as unable to purpose effective behavior to mitigate climate change. The scientific literature on this issue suggested that the perception of self and community efficacy could lead to adopting pro-environmental behavior. I would study this phenomenon and spread information about it.

My name is Selena Antonini and I’m an English teacher at High school. I’m concerned with the importance of  environmental topics, precisely the importance of recycling, the end of waste through correct recycling forms, avoiding use of fossil fuels and looking for new sources of energy. The aim is to make students and people aware of the importance of sustainability of our communities, quality of life and well-being, safety, starting from the description of reality of local communities.

Alessio Arena is the Scientific Director of Villa Tasca. Villa Tasca, through the enlightened project of Counts Giuseppe Tasca d'Almerita and Luisa Mainardi, started an environmental revolution in the history of Palermo, valorising the park surrounding the house and the historic garden to citizens and tourists. Today, the Villa Tasca park, saved from Mafia building speculation in Palermo, is the only true green lung in the fourth district of the city of Palermo.

I am a young communication professional with a background in European Studies and Science Communication. I have extensive experience in social media management, science writing and communication, EU affairs and policies, sustainable development, media freedom and graphic design. I have first-hand experience lobbying EU decision-makers and working with EU-funded projects. Stefano Armenia (PhD, MBA) is a research fellow in Business Organization at Link Campus University (Rome, Italy) and president of the Italian Chapter of the System Dynamics Society. He applies Systems Thinking and System Dynamics modeling and simulation to the management of policies and strategies in complex organizations, by evaluating and anticipating their social impacts, in the field of sustainable development (food, circular economy, water, transport, finance) and digital transformation.

My experience with public authorities has strongly rooted in me responsibility and the idea that with capability and competence things can change.

It needs a political commitment and to engage concretely citizens.

As an Ambassador, I will continue to make my contribution in the areas in which I work as a freelance researcher, organizer and co-author of advertising, to raise awareness among public and private operators, public opinion and individual citizens on the effects of climate change. I am particularly paying attention to the current trends and those expected for the future on the development of synergies for the sustainability of the WEF nexus (Water, Energy, Food).

I graduated in law and then completed a Post Graduate Master at the University of Milan as a Climate Expert. I have published several articles on the issues of climate change. I am a climate activist and am involved in many environmental NGOs. My focus areas are: energy transition, climate finance, biodiversity, climate migration. My goal is to increase public awareness to improve the pressure on Governments and Big Corp to act now. My motto is "be the change you wish to see in the world".

As an Ambassador of the Climate Pact, I will make it my mission to spread a systemic thinking approach aiming at involving the entire community in positive and sustainable behavior change processes based on each different territory needs detected and possibilities.

Operationally, I will promote awareness raising, collaborate with the already existent climate networks at a local, regional, national and international level aiming at having a continous dialogue pertaining to best practices.

I'm a project manager and a climate change and human-nature relationship expert, and a great part of my job is to lecture about climate change, sustainability, natural resources conservation and environmental protection. Many of the projects I coordinate are aimed at involving national and international stakeholders (both public and private) in the green transition, by creating an efficient environmental communication strategy and using different methodologies and strategies ranging from citizen science activities to participatory processes.

As an Ambassador, and a passionate environmentalist, my commitment and actions are dictated by a real need to make a difference and open up spaces for inclusion based on the principles of climate and environmental justice for the benefit of all the species living on the Planet. 

My action is driven by the desire to help people looking at the incredible variety and mysterious characteristics of the natural world. As only knowledge will boost people's actions.

I'm a philosopher and I decided to take action against climate change starting with school students. My projects aim to make young students (ages 12-13) aware of the strong power they have in taking action against climate change, influencing parents and friends. I started from two schools in Abruzzo, Italy, but I want my project to be an example to others. 

Some years ago, I also started working with the University of Ferrara on Circular Economy projects, in order to find the best way to communicate how to change the process of industrialization into a new approach, eco-design for example. The entrepreneurs do not immediately understand how useful it is to reduce gas emissions, reduce waste, etc... until they connect it to the advantage that being carbon-free is directly linked to better living, a better future for us all, and also an increased value of the brand.

University Researchers are a unique and rich source of information that can be applied with success to solve the problems of the companies. Together they are a great team to face the new challenges of this ecological transition and not only.

I am a Master student in Law and Sustainable Development and becoming an Ambassador has always been my dream. Ecology, sustainability and climate change are fundamental topics to discuss with people in order to find solutions together. Here, that is why I want to create a network and to help people from different countries, backgrounds and ages to communicate, share ideas and make this planet a better place to live in.

An entire career as an economic and environmental historian made me aware that strengthening the interaction between Academia and society is key to act on climate change. As President of Leonardo-IRTA, Research Institute of the environment and territories, I intend to fulfil my mission as Climate Pact Ambassador by signalling the climate added value of our projects on all occasions in which citizens and local to national institutions are involved (meetings, publications, online platforms).

I use my knowledge and outreach to fight climate change, to create better prospects for the people and for the planet and to help Europe maintain a leading role in climate action. I am part of several international and volunteering organizations and my activity as ambassador consists in sharing information about the EU Climate Pact while advocating for climate neutrality. In order to transform our goals into reality we need to maximize our impact. My motto is: interact, immerse, involve, evolve!

My studies and my current work deal with Earth Sciences. I'm passionate about polar regions. I enjoy talking with people, discussing with children and teenagers about what I know and what they want to ask. Ideas can be spread only through people who show themselves motivated and committed. This is what I'm trying to pursue.

The urgency to act is enormous.

We are already lagging behind in the fight against climate change and for this reason we must triple our efforts and commitments to accelerate the ecological transition.

I managed to transform frustration into positive energy and that's why I want to make people aware of the responsibility we have today to change the course of events to return to being in harmony with Planet Earth.L'urgenza di agire è enorme.

Sono riuscito a trasformare la frustrazione in energia positiva ed è per questo che ho voglio sensibilizzare le persone sulla responsabilità che abbiamo oggi di cambiare il corso degli eventi per tornare ad essere in armonia con il Pianeta Terra.

I am 65 years old. I travelled a lot for professional and personal reasons. I have been the general manager of the Location of my group in Russia. 

I was deeply involved in the last 30 years with projects for the reduction of the Ozone layer and Green house (CO2) realized in many countries and finance by World Bank and UN agencies (Unido, UNDP. Unops). 

Very soon I will be retired and I would like to contribute to the evolution in the green direction.
