Professionaly I work in a climate related science institute and I have been leading national long term climate strategy. But when it comes to talking to my friends, outside my work bubble, I see people still dont have enough knowledge about climate change, about which measures to take, what can help the climate or the environment. And also since a huge transition needs to be made in the upcoming years to reach climate neutrality, we really need to gather all the people that we can get to help advocate.

My overarching goal is to promote city-level action and regional and global peer-to-peer learning and engagement while building the potential for cities and regions to lobby their national governments and regional institutions on specific areas of the sustainable development and green recovery. We need to build regional coalitions that drive towards the key real economy outcomes necessary in order to hold on global temperature warming at no more than 1.5°C level.

Climate Change is one of the biggest challenges of our times. 

My mission as an Ambassador is to engage citizens and communities in action for our climate and environment. 

I have a keen interest in safeguarding clean air for all since air pollution affects dramatically climate change and remains the biggest environmental health risk in Europe.

As an ambassador, I will be actively involved in the fight against climate change, I will approach with full responsibility the respect for our planet, I will inspire the local, national and even regional community to carry out its activity protecting the environment.

We need to restore our Earth by maintaining natural environment. Climate change is a very important phenomenon for every living thing on the Earth in the 21st century. We need to take every remedy action for reducing disasters as a consequence of climate change. We should collaborate on every essential matter concerned with climate change issues without hesitating. We would like to create better world for every citizen with the motto ''Better Environment for All!''.

As Deputy-Mayor of Budapest, I will do everything in my capacity, to implement our Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan, and to convince other Hungarian local and regional authorities to join the Covenant of Mayors and submit their own climate plans.

I define myself as a sustainability vigilante. I am an Italian living in the Netherlands, founder & CEO of NEXTON, a startup company which is contributing concretely to the reduction of CO2 (www.nextonideas.com).

I organize, attend and support various sustainable development events online. I cooperate with other cleantech startup companies, corporates and municipalities.

Climate Change threatens to permanently disrupt our lives. This is not science fiction, Climate Change has already have an impact on every aspect of our lives; it is manifested by concrete evidences provided to us by actual environmental measurements.

The ambassador will serve as a liaison between the public and government authorities for the coordination, cooperation and activities needed to advance the CC agenda, raise public awareness of climate change and assist in educating people with science.

Climate change is one of the defining challenges facing young people today, and during my studies in the field of Biotechnology, I quickly became enchanted by the potential of biotechnological research to combat this challenge. Now, as part of iGEM, my team and I intend to make our first steps in making a difference, both with our scientific work and our outspoken activism in the field.

A city that sees our differences as wealth, finds lasting solutions in the fight against climate change, produces policies that respect the nature of which we are a part, prioritizes production in all areas and inspires the world in all aspects will be possible through the joint efforts of all of us. With our activities such as recycling, combating climate change, and protecting the biological diversity of life on water and on land, it is not only that people live in prosperity.

Kelo Uchendu is a final year mechanical engineering student at the University of Nigeria, the founder of Gray2Green Movement.

Kelo is passionate about building a just, equitable and sustainable system. 

For the past 4 years, his leadership strategy in transformative activism has been rooted in environmental conservation, particularly climate justice and air-quality advocacy, youth engagement, grassroot mobilizing and capacity building, as well as governance and policies.

An effective and decisive response to climate change must be European. The greening of our economies and societies is not only a moral imperative but also an opportunity to increase our competitiveness in the economy of the future. I would like to contribute to raise awareness on key topics for the ecological transition in Europe and beyond in order to deliver a better society for future generations

I have been involved in blue and green economy since the very beginning of my career. Starting from 2007, I have been practicing International and EU climate Policy and Law with extraordinary knowledge of the sector and understanding of the energy and climate related challenges, in particular operation of EU-ETS, carbon pricing mechanisms and forecast, allocation plans and cap setting for industries and SMEs.

I am one of the most re-known Italian national specialized in the Kyoto Protocol.

As a PhD student, I conduct research on the topic of my dissertation thesis "Strategies for waste recovery in Slovakia and selected EU countries," focusing on the Nitra and Košice regions of Slovakia and comparing them to regions in Finland and France. These are the outcomes I want to see implemented on a national and EU level, in order to motivate peers, share knowledge, and collaborate with stakeholders. Because I am a dual citizen of Slovakia and Serbia, I am able to connect these two countries.

As a sustainability assessment professional, I support the development of sustainable circular and biobased chemicals and materials.
I teach the fundamentals of sustainability and impact assessments (incl. carbon footprints) to various targeted groups.
I reach out to companies and governments to support in finding ways to reach reduction of greenhouse gas emissions with scientifically reliable knowledge and tools. I advocate and support ambitious climate change actions. 

In April 2021, I started a cycling tour through various European countries, to learn how we can live our lives in a different and more sustainable way.

There is so much happening already! During the tour, I talked to and wrote about inspiring people and projects on energy, food, economy, democracy and living environment.

Gathering and sharing information and inspiring others, as well as stimulation followers to do their (small) part are the main goals.

Unchecked consumerism, fossil fuel addiction and excessive material extraction are setting the pace in our globalized textile system. Thus, current practices all across the fashion industry are pushing earth past critical thresholds. Though not universally striking, its effects can already be measured today.

As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I seek to create transparency, support youth engagement, and drive change by connecting efforts towards a just transition in the fashion industry.

Not a system Revolution, but a Co-evolution!

As an ambassador, I want to be part of a system change and help the (food) transition forward by making the unseeable seen.

I believe in collecting the energy already present in society and this is where my activities will mainly focus on.

More specific: hosting events and workshops, posting on social media (i.e. Simple Sprouts), volunteering in initiatives and more.

I strongly believe that we should participate in climate action because we need to preserve this planet with all its beauty for our future generations.

As an ambassador, I will collaborate with people, companies, and organizations who share the same objective to make this world not only a better place for its future inhabitants, but also for our people today.\n I have many different events and activities in mind, all based on engagement, education, and collaboration!
