I am a climate enthusiast, policy wonk and teacher, keen to untangle the complexity of climate change and sustainable finance by engaging in acts of awareness raising with the youth. I have a wide experience on climate change and climate finance in both the multilateral, supranational and private sector, and have been leading the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers in Brussels, a network of inspiring young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional, and global challenges in their region.

I am a nature lover and a passionate climate advocate. An environmental engineer by training, I currently work as a climate policy consultant. In my free time, I am a  climate and youth advocate. I have represented youth voices for climate internationally and nationally in various summits and meetings, being Youth4Climate delegate in NY, head of the Italian delegation at the 2022 G7 youth summit, and observer at the climate negotiations since COP26. I have co-led the "Youth4SDGs" initiative with the Italian Climate Network NGO. Over the last year, I have trained 200+ youth on climate and energy, recently also as IRENA-Italy IACT peer-educator. I am from Italy, but I have lived also in Sweden, Belgium and the USA.

My personal favourite quote is " Let's make sure we all play a role in drafting our future".

I am originally from the Souss Valley, South west Morocco, that experiences now severe drought & water shortage. This had trigger since long time ago my deep and sharp consciousness about climate change impact (even before it becomes a public topic). I pledged to myself 15 years ago to act at my personal level, as well as with all others for whom ecology matters, to spread the awareness about climate change and how our acts can help in the global effort. I want to plant trees again in my region!

Information can allow people to gain access to diverse ways of taking climate action, and knowledge can empower people to help save our planet. I want to engage young people from different backgrounds, putting myself out there by sharing my experiences and acquired knowledge so as to raise awareness around the catastrophic effects of climate change and the desperate need to act now to mitigate it. The goal is to inspire people join in the climate movement. I have been fortunate to have had many opportunities to learn about climate change and the possible measures to tackle it. As such I hope I can help others to achieve the same goals. Both professionally and personally, I believe in giving back to society and taking care of our world. I hope as Ambassador I can continue doing so.

As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I plan to use my experience as a Communication Officer at the European Commission and my background in environmental journalism to make climate science and policy accessible to the public. I aim to write articles that break down complex climate data into understandable insights, fostering an informed dialogue among various stakeholders. Additionally, I intend to organise community events that not only raise awareness but also encourage actionable steps towards sustainability. Through these initiatives, I am committed to building a community that is not just aware but also engaged in climate action.

As a professional ocean and polar photographer, my mission is to raise awareness about the importance of our ocean, scientific research, vulnerability of nature and impact through the use of image. Making science more tangible, visualising what is at stake and by using powerful images as a tool towards different target groups and as a means to bridge the gap between science and policy is an essential part of my work. I present my photos at the highest policy level and for different audiences.

My mission is to connect business goals with collective needs. Therefore I will create awareness on climate change and ESG in general. One of my main activities is helping companies in their sustainability transitions. I do that by redefining strategies and doing market research. Once the strategy is determined, I help companies to turn their strategies in anto implementable operational plans. In order to create a market and to create awareness, I act as an influencer on climate change, collective needs and circular business models.

My background is within chemistry, but my professional life has been within enterprise continuity and resilience since more than 20 years now. Since then, I included in my portfolio of services and customers presentation the climate changes challenge that started to impact people and enterprises in most regions.

We cannot survive without two things: water and food. Both are closely linked with each other and are affected by climate change. The way we produce food right now is detrimental to our water supply and the diminishing of our water supply threatens agriculture.

It is my personal mission to transform as much hectares to sustainable regenerative farming. Using holistic design, agroforestry, food forests and agroecology. At the same time it is my goal to inspire millions of people to do the same.

With a Ph.D. in Ocean Sciences, I am currently working on unraveling the intricate journey of natural methane emissions in a warming world. My job as a scientist, together with my deep connection to nature and belief in the transformative power of knowledge, drive my fervent advocacy for scientific literacy and sustainability.

My passion lies in translating intricate scientific facts into compelling narratives that resonate with both academic and non-academic audiences. I especially focus on crafting relatable content in my native languages (Spanish and Catalan) to overcome language barriers in science communication.

As a climate ambassador, I am committed to disseminating the importance of natural methane emissions in the context of global warming. I aspire to bridge the gap between climate change and seemingly unrelated aspects of our daily lives, making such connections more evident. Finally, I plan to actively engage citizens in capturing and sharing the tangible effects of climate.

Reaching climate neutrality in Europe by 2050 requires investing in new sustainable business models, skills and change behaviour in all sectors, with more innovative, resilient, circular and responsible approach.

In line with SDG 13 (Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impact) of the UN Agenda 2030, "All tourism stakeholders should play a leading role in the global response to climate change, by reducing its carbon footprint, in the transport and accommodation sectors".

This is a big challenge!

I have been a registered nurse since 1984, with a master’s degree in nursing science, a Master degree in Statistics, a PhD degree from the Kings College University of London, and holding an Adjunct Professorship since 2018 at the John Hopkins University in Baltimore (US). Since 2002 I have been the Secretary General of the European Federation of Nurses Associations (EFN), providing a broad platform for developing health & social EU policy by supporting the EU decision making processes on all areas affecting the nursing profession, including climate. My EU lobby activities relate to the promotion & protection of nurses & the nursing profession with particular reference to the EU political agenda, especially the EU Social Pillar priorities. As an Ambassador, I can bring in and share my expertise and the views of 3 million nurses from 35 EU countries. My connections at EU, national, regional and local levels make it easy to reach nurses, EU stakeholders, policymakers, to enrich the process.

I have been an environmental activist since 2019, helping associations in Italy fight against conventional waste management and in favour of the implementation of 'zero waste' practices. After completing my Environment and Business degree in the United Kingdom in 2021, I have worked on sustainability-related projects for a London-based communication agency before joining the European Commission in October 2022. Since then, I have been helping DG CLIMA communicate EU climate action to stakeholders and the wider public. During my first months in Brussels, I launched The Earth Society, a network of current and former European Commission trainees interested in sustainability and climate action. The aim of this initiative is to encourage as many young minds as possible to take action to protect our planet and make our society fairer and greener. As a Climate Pact ambassador, my aim is to expand this network as much as possible, and increase its positive impact on society.

I studied to become a teacher, but finally worked in the conception and promotion of board games, until it became too difficult to manage the incongruence between that activity (which was commercial) and my values, especially the growing awareness that we must keep the environment and climate life-friendly.

I currently describe myself as full-time volunteer for climate, and focus on informing people. No one can consciously make good decisions to solve a problem they don't understand correctly.

I have also been a jury member of international awards such as the "Crystal Scales of Justice" on modernisation of Justice. I am also a writer and speaker at European conferences.

As Policy Officer for the NGO QUEST (Quality Education in Europe for Social Sustainable Transformation), I advocate for a fairer, smarter and more sustainable education system, promoting children and youth’s well-being and inclusion as positive agents of change. More precisely, I promote innovative pedagogies at the European level, fostering children and youth’s initiative, physical and emotional well-being, and the skills needed in a fast-changing world. Within the European Climate Pact, with QUEST, we will do so through peer-learning exchanges and activities, linking education in nature and democratic education practices with climate education.
