Meet our Ambassadors

I am a 21 year old from Slovakia. I am interested in environmental issues, sustainability and climate policy. I am a student at Palacký University, currently studying abroad at Malmö University as an international student through Erasmus. I want to share my experiences and knowledge in the topic of climate change awareness. I will share my ideas through active involvement in the POW organisation. This non-profit organisation fights against the climate crisis in the outdoor sector and sport industry. It also highlights the importance of this topic through popular athletes, their projects and campaigns. As a very passionate hobby athlete, I consider it is my duty to take action to show that I care about climate. Also I see the sport and its link with sustainability as being a undercommunicated topic. I take on this project as my climate action commitment. I will try to do my best and be a a part of  a systematic solutions.

I am inquisitive, strong-willed and passionate and I have been working as a language lecturer for many years. In addition I am passionate about international relations which is why I have done my utmost to represent our institution and region all over the world. Being a brand ambassador of Wallonia (Belgium) I am committed to showcasing what our region and continent can offer. I genuinely believe that the European Union has a lot to offer and therefore I am convinced that promoting our best sustainable practices and green strategies can help make us more dynamic and proactive when it comes to protecting our environement and encouraging fair practices such as fair trade, ethical sourcing, green energies and sustainable/responsible lifestyle.

As director of the 'Centro do Clima da Póvoa de Varzim' (a local climate action centre) and climate activist and researcher, I will connect our work with the European Climate Pact, engaging the municipality, the university, media, farmers, youth, business and all other partners is creating an effective transformative hub in our community.

I'm a PhD candidate in Environment and Sustainability at NOVA University Lisbon, focused on just energy transitions, who is also engaged in citizen-led renewable energy communities projects and in national-scale environmental NGOs. As an Ambassador, I will draw on these three roles and seek to raise awareness, transfer knowledge and implement concrete actions, mainly in thematic areas of energy and green buildings, that can contribute to mitigate climate change and to a more fair, resilient and sustainable society.

As an ambassador of the Climate Pact, my task is to engage with all stakeholders in the value chain of production processes through the application of sustainability best practices. Specifically, I  propose a multidimensional approach to promote a strategy that effectively reduces the carbon footprint through the actions of: awareness - reduction - adaptation - response. Particular attention is given to maximizing impacts by scaling actions at all levels through an ESG approach.

As a master's student of Sustainable Development and a European citizen, I am fully committed to raising awareness on the issue of food security.

I will do so at the local level, in the city of The Hague, by collaborating with the organisation Simple Sprouts, organising workshops, hosting events and growing the social media outreach to draw attention on sustainable food consumption, food waste, and local food growth. At the EU-level, I will cooperate with Italian organisations and NGOs.

I have a bachelor degree in Physics science from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master degree in Bioeconomy, Circular Economy and Sustainable Development at University of Piraeus. I work in Kalamata city, in a family-owned business called “KLIMIS”  which has been implementing circular bioeconomy for more than 30 years. I am also a member of the strategic planning team and coordinator of the circular economy and waste management axis of the Municipality of Kalamata for the “Mission”, as Kalamata is one of the selected cities for the EU “Mission: 100 Climate Neutral and Smart European cities by 2030”. I will try to raise awareness and educate citizens, especially the children who will be the citizens of the future, in sustainable ways of living. Sustainability for me is a one way road!

Climate change is the biggest threat to our civilisation.

I have been very interested in the subject since 1998.

Since 2006 our NGO Gorichka has spread awareness on the subject of the problems and solutions to the climate crisis. I am very motivated to continue this work with the weekly gatherings of the “climate anonymous” group.

My aim is to produce a pilot Landscape Adaptation Plan for the Czech Republic and to extend our model to the whole EU and then to other countries in the world that have weak resilience to climate change. I want to focus with my team on education on climate impacts, training local people in each country through a network of national coordinators, science and research, developing our IT method using citizen science and machine learning, getting young people to adapt landscapes and settlements.

Hi everyone. As a Climate Pact ambassador, I plan to advocate against climate change at a local, regional and national level through working with different organisations that campaign for climate action. My main motivation behind my campaigning is to leave behind a better world than I found, and to educate as many people as I can on how important it is to take care of the world we live in for as long as we can.

I fight for plastic-free seas in which all flora and fauna can live freely in their own natural habitat. I created the Jelly Cleaner to filter microplastics from the sea and to Raise Awareness about plastic pollution. I have a campaign on the Change.org platform, #NOESPAISPARADELFINES, to prohibit dolphinariums in Spain. I currently have over 101,000 signatures and have presented a motion in the Spanish Senate, which will be voted on this fall.

Included within the goals of REPLAXTIC MSCA-SE-IF-2020, the aim of my research is to upcycle plastic materials via catalytic chemical reaction into innovative electrolytes for lithium ions batteries. Together with all the people of the start-up I am working in, POLYKEY we are commit to share our sustainable research, the climate pact, how to responsably behave and let people know that there is no planet B.

Passionate environmental advocate with extensive experience in environmental education, sustainability and climate change.

I seek to contribute as a change agent and environmental educator with the aim of achieving a greater understanding of environmental, social and social justice benefits from my project Association retoglobal.eu.

We are facing a planet in crisis, at a critical and decisive moment in the history of humanity, we are immersed in the decisive decade with challenges that transcend geographical and temporal boundaries.

The climate emergency, the damage and devastation of ecosystems, the loss of biodiversity, global pollution in all its forms, and the continued disregard for planetary boundaries are closely interrelated and are putting the planet at risk. are putting our future and the future of billions of living beings at risk, we cannot allow inaction to define our legacy.

Our health depends on the health of our planet, is the title of a video I made in 2020 to reflect on the consequences of the pandemic and introduce an Amazon forest conservation project I support. I am a partner and board member of an advisory company (Brainscapital) and Technical Director for the Regenerative Society Foundation. As a strategy adviser, climate policy expert and innovation manager I specialise in EU-China environmental cooperation and work to accelerate the ecological transition.

Serving as Scientific Project Manager of the EU-funded Innovative Training Network NEWAVE 'Next Water Governance'. As Network of excellence, we aim at brining together water governance organisations from both the academic and extra-academic sector, training a new generation of water governance early stage researchers (ESRs) and future water leaders, to develop and implement a cutting-edge actionable research agenda on the key water governance priorities and insights for future directions.

I am a teacher. My activity as an ambassador will take place in the school to educate the new generations on sustainable development and the fight against climate change. My goal will be to inform and sensitize the people of my territory about the problem of climate change and their solutions. I would like to carry out activities in the school and in the social: debates research clean up walks parades exhibitions workshops readings tree plantings.

An entrepreneur, global citizen, humanist, environmental activist, basically incurable optimist who believes that we must act now as a second to noon if we all want to give a chance to our children to enjoy in colors of nature as previous generations. A true Global Citizen, active promoter for widening of ideal of borderless global citizenship as only true model for real humanitarian-oriented future. Climate is everyone's problem and we all must do our best to solve it.

I am Nicolae, a Romanian living in Copenhagen, Denmark. I work as a software developer and I am passionate about learning and volunteering in permaculture and organic farming. I have a strong ambition to help develop and support solutions that use nature to heal the planet and develop a more sustainable society. As Ambassador of the European Climate Pact, I will contribute through my volunteer work as a Journalist for the Danish Startup Group to interview and write articles about the work of Danish Startups in contributing to the goals of the Pact. I am also creating content for the gaming communities on Twitch and YouTube as Restonik where I will educate and inspire taking climate action. 

Based on my experience and contacts in the EU and Finnish politics and on my roles as the President of the Helsinki- Uusimaa Region and the Chair of the Board of the Espoo City, I can influence and support the Finnish activities to reach the global forerunner goals in tackling climate change and creating new solutions to reach SDG targets. I can create many useful contacts in Brussels. I will arrange my activities to be based on collaboration and operating in teams and networks.
