As a Climate Ambassador, I will promote our Green Deal goals locally and regionally working together with national as well as European levels. My aim is to increase dialogue with local authorities and citizens of my home city and region on how to best put our climate and environmental policy commitments into practice. Tampere has already taken many important steps towards circular economy and carbon neutrality, but more can be done. Good local practices can be linked better to European goals.

Toufik is an Associate Editor at the NYC Daily Post. He has a diploma in International Environmental Law and Governance and currently studies medicine at Sumy State University. He is the Founder and CEO of Toufik’s World Organization and currently serves as an Associate Editor at the Harvard Public Health Review. Toufik is passionate about issues patterning mental health and is also an advocate for sustainable development goals and youth development. In his spare time, he likes to read.

Martin-Sebastian is a senior Sustainability professional from Düsseldorf, Germany and is the Public Sector ESG Lead EMEA at KPMG. He holds an MBA from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management as well as several certifications in sustainability reporting. Within the 2019 DZ BANK Fellowship by the American Council on Germany, he researched the impact of fossil fuel divestment on the financial system in the US. Happy to connect, present and translate the goals of the Climate Pact.

The role of Climate Ambassador is complementary to my current Ph.D. project in Sustainable Chemistry. My knowledge will be used to develop efficient and realistic ideas and actions for the climate. Fulfilling my mission will therefore rely on two main aspects, scientific dissemination and concrete actions for the climate. I will focus on the development of local and regional solutions. My main motivations are to put my knowledge and expertise to use in practical actions and to represent BiOrbic.

I am a university student from Belgium who has always been interested in protecting our planet. I have loved nature from a young age, despite living in the city where green areas as scarce. I have committed to certain actions on a personal level such as vegetarianism and being more mindful of my carbon footprint in general. I hope to be able to communicate with my community in order to raise awareness about climate change.

I am a strong-willed advocate for the environment, a planet and people person. As European Climate Pact Ambassador, my challenge is to make people understand that, together, we can make a difference and protect our future. Raising awareness of climate change, impacts and solutions, through school workshops, conferences and gatherings with sustainability-focused companies, will be one of my top priorities.

I am an environmental volunteer with the clear conviction that the best action is by example.
I live in Andalusia, one of the areas of the EU where the impact of Climate Change is greatest.
Maintaining natural balances and ensuring that people's progress is compatible with biodiversity is our great collective challenge for the coming years.
To do this, we must support our actions in awareness and in responsible purchasing and consumption habits with everyone.

As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I will work everyday to advance the goal of a sustainable future. My work will focus on increasing public education regarding the climate transition through analysis, outreach and engagement. Through my organization (Global Challenge) I will continuously advocate for the inclusion of the broad public on these matters, in order to ensure a just climate transition. My aim is to continue to bridge the gap between research and action.

As a person that grew up with a comfort of a modern life’s pleasures, it took it’s time until I’ll make myself aware at what cost it is coming. Indeed, it made me first sad and sorrow. Thinking the ways to overcome them brought me to world where science on hands with ecology and universe presents us a smart way of existence. The world where we one step forward in understanding our planet better and cooperating with it smarter.

Sevim helps young Europeans become more informed about EU energy & climate topics by sharing briefings and career tips on her Instagram. She saw the need for more communication on EU happenings for a more informed population and better democracy.

Sevim is an engineering graduate from Oxford University who specialised in energy systems. Today, she is a policy officer at the European Commission in energy & climate policy.

As an Ambassador, my mission will be to disseminate the impacts of climate change to communities, raising awareness and involving them in the solutions they can adopt and how they can adapt. During the last years as an environmental engineer, researcher, and professor, I have always focused on climate change issues, especially related to water resources. My goal will be to involve young people from universities, consultants, and farmers, in this mission as EU Climate Pact Ambassador.

I live in Asturias, a privileged place that makes people aware of the need of their care and protection.

We need to know the worst problem we face as humanity, the climate change, and the best solutions we have to deal with it.

That's why I enjoy creating content and researching from a multidisciplinary perspective as an environmental scientist. It's time to act.

In a time where “facts are uncertain, values in dispute, stakes high, and decisions urgent” (Funtowicz and Ravetz, 1993: 744), effective communication and informed policy-making have never been more crucial. My objective as a Climate Pact Ambassador will be to explain the science behind climate change in an accessible way to the student body, both in schools and at university, and to equip them with the tools to better grasp the complexity of current environmental challenges.

The main aim of the Institute of climate neutrality is to bring solutions, raise awareness, build capacities and networks and support the initiative campaigns to accelerate the transformation of society to become real climate-neutral (net-zero).

I'm planning to use my passion and knowledge of sustainability to engage and inspire others; to use my network to connect and empower others for sustainability and to use my position to drive cultural change and develop technical solutions.

In Liepāja city I have worked with environmental and climate issues already for years. Liepāja city has joined the Covenant of Mayors in 2012 and I am acting as the Committee of Regions' Covenant of Mayors Ambassador. The first thing we did to fight climate change was to improve the heat supply system. We are working for the residents to have convenient public transport and safe movement with bicycles. As the Ambassador I would like to reach out more to local inhabitants schools on the topics of environment.

I am a science teacher that tries to live more sustainably - I try my best to reduce waste, to reduce carbon emissions in transportation, promote sustainable food production and raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity.

I focus on green transportation - I sold my car and do all my daily business on my bike (and occasionally public transportation).

I am also a scout and I will prepare my next challenge with my scout unit - "the library of things".

As an EU Climate Pact Ambassador, I aim to create awareness on Sustainability by providing and sharing information and practices. Sustainability has always been my passion and lifestyle, I'm solution-driven, and I would like to use my overall expertise to make a better world.

As an Ambassador, I plan to educate, communicate, raise awareness through client engagement, on and offline events and thematic discussions, research, online campaigns, data, expertise and publications related to climate change.  Matching and twinning European schools, industry and civil society with African institutions to create resources that educate us on our interconnected world where our actions have implications locally, nationally and internationally.
