Meet our Ambassadors

As author of the Ecological Manifesto, founder and director of "Ecological Manifesto - ManEco" Foundation, I have dedicated my work to raising awareness on topics such as climate change, just transition and circular economy, aiming to help to change the mentality of people and shift their behaviours towards those that result in a more sustainable, energy and resource efficient, waste-free future. On this journey I have always been guided by the recognition that all  humans share a common planet, resources and destiny.

As an Ambassador for climate action and sustainability, my passion lies in catalysing positive change for our environment and advocating for a sustainable future. Over the past years, I have actively engaged in various initiatives encompassing environmental campaigns, community education, and policy advocacy. I have organised and participated in local events, workshops, and protests, effectively reaching and educating thousands of community members about climate change and sustainable practices. Collaborating with like-minded individuals and organisations, I strive to influence policy decisions that support renewable energy, carbon reduction, and overall environmental protection. Additionally, I am committed to reducing my personal carbon footprint by implementing eco-friendly lifestyle choices and inspiring others to do the same. Through my endeavours, I aspire to foster a collective movement towards a greener and more resilient world.

As a climate activist since 2018, I will continue to advocate for stronger climate policies and to raise public awareness about the climate emergency. To put my principles into practice, I volunteer for an energy cooperative that installs solar panels and shares the electricity within local energy communities. I want to reach out to my fellow ambassadors for us to join forces and leverage our respective skills, knowledge and networks. 

We need to act now, so I am ready to be one of those who rise our voices and start to change how things work. We need to gather and to cooperate, and I will put all my efforts in make things happen and help others to make things happen.

I am a keen Environmentalist with an interest in sustainability, climate change and corporate social responsibility. I have a MSC in Development Practice and a BA in Geography and Politics with an accreditation in Social Justice.

It is my mission to raise awareness, increase engagement and drive the the sustainability agenda within my local community and beyond.

Sustainability is key in the fight against climate change. We must replenish and restore its resources. The 'Brundtland report' first asserted that sustainable development was the key to meeting future environmental challenges and tackling climate change. To say something is "sustainable" means that it can continue over time without interruption or weakening. When we talk about sustainability in relation to the environment, it means avoiding the depletion of natural resources so as to maintain an ecological balance. Earth Overshoot Day fell on 29/7/21 meaning that in just seven months we had consumed all the resources that the planet could generate in a year!
At this current rate of consumption, energy use and exploitation of natural resources, we would need almost TWO PLANETS to sustain our current way of life.
Offsetting is no longer enough; we must "heal" environmental, economic and social wounds. And this is the promise of sustainable regeneration!

I am the mayor of a small municipality in central Italy where climate change is not yet perceived as a problem by the population. My aim is to raise awareness among my citizens starting with something that can have an impact on their lives: home composting. I live in an area that relies mainly on agricultural activities and I want to show that more environmentally conscious behaviour can also bring economic as well as climatic benefits. The ecological transition must be a just transition. 

Over the last few years I grew aware of the urgency of the situation we are in and Carl Sagan's "Pale Blue Dot" speech has served as a guide during both my academic and personal pathways.

Climate Change in the Anthropocene is bad and unpropitious, not because it is somehow against Nature, but because it could potentially cause immense harm and suffering to humans.

Humankind will never change until we start planting trees, not with the intention of cutting them, but so that shadow can be provided to our future generations.

The European Green Deal made me realise the role that the European Union can and should play in this journey. And, as a lifelong passionate about this imaginary community of ours, I intend to work so that I may be an integral part of Schuman´s dream for the future.

Climate Action truly is, above all, a moral question. Now more than ever, action requires thoughtfulness, insight and political courage. And the European Union should be very clear about what it expects from other regions of the world. Cooperate whenever possible, compete when necessary and confront when needed.

I am Physicist and Master in Meteorology specialised in climate change communication. Since 2016 I work in mass and social media, I give conferences about climate change in companies, events, courses and schools, among others, and I have published a book about the basis of climate change ("Cambio Climático para Principiantes" [Climate Change for Beginners]).

We still have time to avoid the worst climate scenarios and some of the better ones are still achievable, but we need climate action from the entire society. As a Climate Ambassador, I will continue to create content and communicate about climate change to raise awareness about this crisis from children to CEOs. 

My main motivation is to create a more sustainable model with the planet and people by using renewable energy, develop cooperation and environmental technologies such recycling as key points to success in this objective. Bringing this objetive to the practise, I will fulfill this objective as ambrassador by orgasing Climathon in Seville, making a social sustainable network in Seville (business, authorities, associations and people) that join efforts to create solutions against climate.

I am deeply passionate about the intersection of health, climate, and sustainability. As an Ambassador for the Pact, I am committed to driving positive change by leveraging my background in pharmacy and my experience in promoting environmental awareness and ecological transition. My activities will revolve around educating the public on the health implications of climate change, advocating for a global low carbon transition, and collaborating with individuals and organizations to amplify our impact. Together, we can work towards a healthier planet and healthier communities.

I am committed to serving as a Pact Ambassador by leveraging my passion for cycling to inspire and educate others on the critical role of sustainable transportation in combating climate change. My planned activities include organizing community cycling events, producing informative social media content, advocating for improved cycling infrastructure, and collaborating with local schools to promote cycling as a green alternative for daily commuting. Through these efforts, I aim to foster a culture of eco-friendly mobility and encourage individuals to reduce carbon emissions by embracing cycling as a sustainable lifestyle choice.

Juan Luis Muñoz Arbona is a VET and English teacher, a National Geographic Certified Educator and a Teach SDGs Teacher ambassador.

He is also a lawyer and an active civil society member, belonging to Anna Lindh Foundation Spanish Network as a member and former Executive Committee member.

He also has some expertise gained through his work as an EU policy adviser within the European Institutions (2002-2009).

My new challenge is to promote green skills and lifelong learning for my students.

As an ambassador, I will take advantage of my extensive professional and academic experience in the field of climate policy and international relations to promote networks, partnerships, events, campaigns, and multi-actor platforms that promote an ambitious approach to climate action at all levels.

Passionate about people and their patterns, Omhani Ambre Naija is the founder and CEO of the Sparklink Agency, a multi award-winning strategic intelligence consultancy composed of international experts and creative communities. With a solid background in Human Sciences - Foreign languages, Project management, Anthropology, Political Science- Ambre has more than 15 years of international cross-sectoral experience: Marketing-Communication, Hospitality, Banking, Philanthropy and Social Impact.

Sustainability is not a trend. Let's meet our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to do so as well. It simply makes sense. I commit to raising awareness about the green transition and the sheer importance of it. People tend to neglect the fact that we actually need to transition into a more sustainable economy. As ambassador I will promote the positive outcomes of a resource-efficient and climate neutral EU. As a zero waste business owner I will further continue my efforts to promote sustainable living and practices to individuals and businesses as well.

We are in this together as Europeans and I like to think that with collective efforts we will leave a healthy planet for our future generations.

I am an environmentalist, circular systems engineer, sustainable fashion visionary and entrepreneur, passionate about changing our clothing consumption and production patterns while creating new opportunities for people and the planet. There is no doubt that in order for sustainability and social innovation to gain momentum, empowering public participation is crucial. Therefore, I am ready to actively pursue interactive educational and communication activities, bringing together consumers, the business community, industry representatives and other stakeholders to reduce the negative impact of fashion together. 

As Ambassador on the Climate Pact, I am working on creating a network of sustainable schools, eco-friendly schools. Local and European net of eco-friendly schools, schools which can share experiences, promote environmental actions and are decided to show the partner schools in order to join forces through European programmes such as Erasmus + or eTwinning.

My name is Jakub Nekvasil, and I am a 17-year-old student at a Prague high school. I founded an NGO Telperion (www.telperion.cz) to raise awareness around climate change and to inspire climate action, focusing mainly on young people. We organise programmes for schools, scouts, and the general public. With one of my projects “Klimatické dny” (Climate Days), I was among the last four candidates selected for the prestigious youth Czech climate award “Cena Josefa Vavrouška”, organised by the Czech Partnership Foundation. I became a local coordinator in the implementation of the Living Landscape project, focusing on water retention. Wherever I am, I try to influence people to assume responsibility for climate, to think about their everyday habits, and to take climate action. I try to show people around me that each small step counts, and that these small steps will eventually make a big difference.
