Meet our Ambassadors

I will work to engage citizens, younger people, local and national governments to take ambitious climate action by promoting and organizing activities on sustainable mobility, urban regeneration and food policies to reduce waste, Rome is holding this year the Presidency of U 20 and in that framework will work on those issues. 

Rome is working on a green recovery also from Covid-19 pandemic by creating new businesses and new opportunities from green economy.

I will help educate people about climate change and promote sustainable living.

I am an experienced (Green) Marketing Manager, Project Manager and Change Manager with a passion for implementing innovations and promoting sustainable development. My mission is to implement the principles of Green Management and Sustainable Development within business, based on the circular economy model.

My skills are based on extensive experience in interdisciplinary project management, change management and the use of agile methodologies in various industries. I am a certified Project Manager (Agile Framework), which allows me to effectively adapt to dynamically changing conditions. My "green path" began with my recovery from a very serious illness. What I leave behind will be alive and green.

I am an EU-Councilor in Ferlach, Austria and head our local Green Party. After many years as manager in various corporations, I am now retired and able to spend my time and focus on topics and issues I find truly important. I view the climate crisis as the number one issue threatening our planet and humanity, and am frustrated by the lack of knowledge (and apathy) of the inhabitants in our community and region.

Therefore, I look forward to learning how others in Europe are dealing with similar issues, what the EU is doing in the general area of Climate Change and how to more effectively communicate with my neighbours in the community.

My contributions will be through writing posts on social media, writing articles for our local quarterly community paper, continuing my work on our community organised "Klimaschutz findet Stadt" project and attending events both in our community and our region.

Since more than 20 years I am passionate about any topics related to sustainable development.

Due to my formal education as an architect, I try to share experience, good practices and extend knowledge about any matter related to carbon neutral resilient cities, sustainable urban development, energy efficiency, and renewable production. I am giving presentations and lectures on a regular basis to both - professionals and children, and try to extend the general public awareness for climate change.

Professionally involved in energy transition and circular economy as well as digitalisation, I am trying to impact positively my surroundings to adopt good behaviour towards climate and human footprint.

I believe that cities will change the world. Local actors have the best possibilities to inspire people to take action on climate change. In order to succeed in combatting climate change, everyone needs to feel part of the solution. I have studied the motivation of the cities in climate action and I work with climate justice on daily basis. As Ambassador I am keen on involving in and enabling an increase in municipal climate action, new solutions for the urban environment, and adaptation.

I am the Mayor of Folgaria, a mountain town in the Italian Alps. My commitment to the climate will be based above all on the promotion and research of systems and methods tailored to the mountains and small communities. I will try to build networks with other ambassadors and joint projects.

I am an earth scientist and educator - BSc (Joint Honours) Geography and Geology and MBA Educational Management) - who has taught in a diverse range of schools for over thirty years.  I now live and work in Austria, working mainly with Austrian schools, promoting environmental sustainability education through residential experiences in Austria, taught in English.  I would like to promote and develop my work to a wider audience of young people and their teachers.

I work for the Finnish Red Cross HQ as an Advocacy and Communication Expert. For a number of years already I have actively given talks on issues related to climate change, having reached some thousands of listeners both face-to-face and on-line, in Finland mostly, but also abroad.

My motivation comes from having, during the past 15 years or so, studied the plethora of predictions for alternative futures, and realizing that unless things are urgently done, we may face the ugliest of these.

Being an ambassador is a great honor. I want to change the IT landscape to make a notable contribution to its sustainability goals and also employ the capabilities of the IT industry to facilitate change. I will use this role to:
* Inform people about the shortcomings but also opportunities of IT with regards sustainability
* Make people working in IT aware of their huge responsibility and influence on the distribution of information and use of resources, so they can make more fair and sustainable decisions
* Suggest (and where possible implement) practices to improve sustainability in IT (companies)
* Use the tools and resources available to me to support my community for conscious IT in their endeavour to make IT more sustainable and fair.
* Start projects that use IT skills to further sustainability goals by informing the public, making sustainable choices more accessible or replacing less sustainable processes

I believe that the top-down decisions of governments, international organisations and corporations need to be complemented and synchronised with bottom-up approach/community level initiatives. People need to take part in the fight against climate change and they need to be motivated or even incentivised to do so. We need to involve kids in this fight at an early age and we need to show people and businesses that this change can be profitable in many ways. It is an opportunity, not a sacrifice.

As Ambassador I’ll have a wide range of responsibilities dedicated to stimulate people about the environment. Each task will be carried out with the goal to maximise the participation of different categories of people. A special attention will be dedicated to students. In my activity I’ve many classes in which I use to give a green touch to all the lectures.

I want to be: creative, expressive, unstructured, nonconforming, innovative, energetic, enthusiastic and optimistic.

Climate change is our first challange. We need to take action at the European and local level. How to do it?

1. Engagaging of local communities: create a local network thorughout a 'manifesto to promote the local green deal'
2. Involving associations, enterprises and citizens to monitor the commitment of the local government in climate change actions.
3. Organise events with concrete proposals using the democratic tools existing at a municipal level to fight for climate.

As a pragmatist, I do not question our economic system but work on its ecological transformation - for the benefit of us all.

As Head of Sustainability at Recover™, a global materials science company pioneer in sustainable textiles and apparel, I am committed to crafting innovative solutions that align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. My objective is to lead by example and drive impactful change within the textile industry. With a background in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Textiles Engineering, my journey in the corporate sustainability realm has been driven by a passion for positive change in the textile industry. As ambassador my mission is clear: I aim to leverage my years of specialised expertise to elevate awareness and empower individuals with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions. In my role, together with Recover™, I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of sustainability, making a lasting difference, and inspiring others to join us in our mission to create a more sustainable future for textiles and apparel.

As an ambassador, my mission will focus on fostering environmental awareness, promoting the dissemination and democratization of knowledge about the ecological crisis, and highlighting the crucial role that young people play in the fight against climate change and in the pursuit of climate justice.

I will leverage my platforms of action to contribute to the development of the European Climate Pact and disseminate the essential knowledge required to establish an environmental culture that adequately addresses the ecological and climate challenges we face.

I am an eighteen-year-old activist and storyteller born in southern Mexico. I have been involved in human rights, climate justice, and gender activism for several years. In my work, I focus on the importance of intersectionality in social movements. I am currently a member of the Youth Advisory Board for the UN Foundation's Girl Up initiative in Mexico and the Youth Advisory Council for World Ocean Day. For my work, I was named Young Leader 2023 by the WOW Foundation.

As an Ambassador, my main objective is to promote environmental awareness through educational resources that frame the current climate crisis as an issue of social and intersectional justice. In addition, I plan to create activities and projects that promote the leadership of the most vulnerable communities in the face of the climate crisis. In this term, I will focus on using writing and advocacy as key tools to motivate climate action among the new generation of leaders.

I am Francisco Rodriguez, a young changemaker who is an engineer, specialised in climate change, that is the reason why I am looking for a challenging opportunity as to be an Ambassador on the Climate Pact. Personally, I am confident about my fit with this role as I consider myself a changemaker who love to create interactions between different stakeholders as I did in Climathon 2020 and 2021.
