As a Climate Ambassador, I will promote our Green Deal goals locally and regionally working together with national as well as European levels. My aim is to increase dialogue with local authorities and citizens of my home city and region on how to best put our climate and environmental policy commitments into practice. Tampere has already taken many important steps towards circular economy and carbon neutrality, but more can be done. Good local practices can be linked better to European goals.

I will continue to educate, share information and raise awareness through all possible channels. Currently I do it through Instagram, Youtube, Tia Tok and in person through the events we organise at Less&Conscious. Information is power and as such, I always work to make it more accessible to all people who want to take care of the planet.

As a dedicated environmentalist and visionary leader, I have founded and led a successful non-profit organisation that spearheads innovative climate action initiatives globally. Through strategic community engagement and dynamic partnership-building, I have leveraged my expertise and network to achieve significant milestones in tackling climate change and protecting the environment. I am committed to advancing our climate action approach and collaborating with like-minded individuals and organisations to build a more sustainable future for our planet and future generations.

Since 2019 I conduct investigations into the negative consequence of climate anxiety in young adults. These consequences have an impact on the mental health of individuals that perceived themselves and their community as unable to purpose effective behavior to mitigate climate change. The scientific literature on this issue suggested that the perception of self and community efficacy could lead to adopting pro-environmental behavior. I would study this phenomenon and spread information about it.

We have not only a political but also a moral obligation to implement environmentally friendly policies. The challenge of climate change is not just a problem we have to deal with but at the same time an opportunity for sustainable, green growth.The Region of Thessaly is leading in this effort and is a region with a deep green environmental footprint. 

I am a strong-willed advocate for the environment, a planet and people person. As European Climate Pact Ambassador, my challenge is to make people understand that, together, we can make a difference and protect our future. Raising awareness of climate change, impacts and solutions, through school workshops, conferences and gatherings with sustainability-focused companies, will be one of my top priorities.

Committed to supporting local communities, she started working as an environmental engineer in international cooperation developing projects in Africa, South America, and South East on environmental issues and sustainable tourism. Now she works as sustainable tourism expert for the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and auditor for the main international certification bodies recognized by the United Nations. As a person that grew up with a comfort of a modern life’s pleasures, it took it’s time until I’ll make myself aware at what cost it is coming. Indeed, it made me first sad and sorrow. Thinking the ways to overcome them brought me to world where science on hands with ecology and universe presents us a smart way of existence. The world where we one step forward in understanding our planet better and cooperating with it smarter.

I live in Asturias, a privileged place that makes people aware of the need of their care and protection.

We need to know the worst problem we face as humanity, the climate change, and the best solutions we have to deal with it.

That's why I enjoy creating content and researching from a multidisciplinary perspective as an environmental scientist. It's time to act.

In a time where “facts are uncertain, values in dispute, stakes high, and decisions urgent” (Funtowicz and Ravetz, 1993: 744), effective communication and informed policy-making have never been more crucial. My objective as a Climate Pact Ambassador will be to explain the science behind climate change in an accessible way to the student body, both in schools and at university, and to equip them with the tools to better grasp the complexity of current environmental challenges.

The main aim of the Institute of climate neutrality is to bring solutions, raise awareness, build capacities and networks and support the initiative campaigns to accelerate the transformation of society to become real climate-neutral (net-zero).

I'm planning to use my passion and knowledge of sustainability to engage and inspire others; to use my network to connect and empower others for sustainability and to use my position to drive cultural change and develop technical solutions.

In Liepāja city I have worked with environmental and climate issues already for years. Liepāja city has joined the Covenant of Mayors in 2012 and I am acting as the Committee of Regions' Covenant of Mayors Ambassador. The first thing we did to fight climate change was to improve the heat supply system. We are working for the residents to have convenient public transport and safe movement with bicycles. As the Ambassador I would like to reach out more to local inhabitants schools on the topics of environment.

My motto is "Think Green, Act Local". In the past years, I devoted myself to raising awareness about the environment and creating change at the grassroots level of my community. As an Ambassador, my mission is to stick to my values and keep being focused on spreading the message that we need to change now by adopting new habits, To achieve this, my main area of focus will be the planning and promotion of local activities about climate change in a combination with school visits.

In my pursuit to climb the highest summit of each of the 7 continents, I traveled to the most remote places on Earth & witnessed the degradation of our planet’s natural environment.

In 2019, I founded the organization “A Woman Can Be” focusing on women empowerment & collaboration for nature & environmental sustainability.

As Ambassador my contribution will be in the field of raising public awareness about the environmental changes that occur through the organization of events & inspiring projects.

When I was 6 years old the snow was so big in Romania that it can cover half of my body after a night of heavy snowing. After 22 years in Romania is barely snowing in the winter in the same region that 22 years ago use to cover half my height. I love the nature the lakes, rivers, plants, animals, humans. Since I was young I loved planting trees and I always plant them on every patch of land that I own. I know Romania and I know the solutions to fix it's climate pollution.

Alessio Arena is the Scientific Director of Villa Tasca. Villa Tasca, through the enlightened project of Counts Giuseppe Tasca d'Almerita and Luisa Mainardi, started an environmental revolution in the history of Palermo, valorising the park surrounding the house and the historic garden to citizens and tourists. Today, the Villa Tasca park, saved from Mafia building speculation in Palermo, is the only true green lung in the fourth district of the city of Palermo.

I am a young communication professional with a background in European Studies and Science Communication. I have extensive experience in social media management, science writing and communication, EU affairs and policies, sustainable development, media freedom and graphic design. I have first-hand experience lobbying EU decision-makers and working with EU-funded projects.
