Johanna Jaurich (*1994) is a writer, director and producer of sustainable documentaries for TV and cinema and passionate about telling constructive stories about inspiring role models and people who are committed to regeneration and the social-ecological transformation. She studied media studies with a focus on film sociology, media psychology and environmental communication at the Bauhaus University Weimar, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2017. Since her youth, she has been involved in the field of sustainability and also dedicates herself professionally to this subject area: after first work experiences at the video department at Greenpeace and involvement in various freelance film projects, she has been working since 2017 at the sustainable film production company fechnerMEDIA GmbH. For her TV documentary "My Future Without Coal" (2019), she was awarded the "European Solar Prize 2020" and "Best Woman Filmmaker" in addition to various international festival prizes. Johanna Jaurich is currently co-directing the global impact and film project THE STORY OF A NEW WORLD with renowned producer Carl-A. Fechner: a constructive docu-fiction that aims to turn passive viewers into active change makers through an impact campaign in 50 countries. As a "Futurewoman", Catalyst 2030 Network Member and EU Climate Pact Ambassador, she is committed to the further networking of change makers.
